POSTGAME QUOTES

HEAD COACH GREG MOORE

On tonight’s game:
First period, both teams were really being patient. It was a bit of a chess match structurally. There wasn’t a whole lot going on and then in the second period whether it was because we were killing a lot of penalties early and we didn’t get into the flow of the game, they were just hungrier than us. We didn’t have a very good second period, spent the majority of time in our D-zone. When you start stacking the sequence of events in the second period, the line changes are so far away that it makes it difficult to tilt the ice back again. But in the third period, we got out and did a better job of getting to our plan and executing it. There was a little bit more step in our skating, faster and checking harder. Ultimately, a goaltender that was continuing to make big saves and play consistently for us and help us win hockey games and then just towards the end, just the grit of guys winning some tough battles, blocking some shots.

ADAM GAUDETTE (1 GOAL)

On tonight’s game:

It wasn’t the smoothest of game but that’s to be expected at the backend of a road trip like this. Credit to us, credit to everyone for grinding through and playing hard. A lot of good things out there, a lot of things that could be cleaner but credit to Woller, he did an awesome job again in net tonight and guys bared down when they needed to and blocked some shots and did the right things and we got that win.

On Joseph Woll’s performance:
Is it bad to say that it’s kind of expected now because he’s done that every game. It’s awesome. It gets the boys going. When you’ve got a goalie like that who can bail you out and make saves, it gives you so much more confidence. There are times where we definitely could do better in front of him and help him out a little more but he’s been absolutely phenomenal and it’s been fun to watch.

JOSEPH WOLL (30 SAVES)

On the team’s performance:
I’ve had some games here in the stretch where they’ve really saved me. I have a lot of faith in my team. My goal is to give them a lot of faith in me. That’s a special thing that we can build with this group.
