Toronto Marlies Fall To Cleveland Monsters In 2nd Half Of Home-And-Home

The Toronto Marlies fell 4-0 to the Cleveland Monsters on Saturday evening in their final matchup of the regular season.

In the first period, both teams exchanged chances but the score remained 0-0. Early in the second, it was the visiting team who got on the board first. Carson Meyer scored 56 seconds into the middle frame to give the Monsters the early 1-0 lead. Later, Cleveland added another goal from Cole Fonstad at 14:51 to make it 2-0. Shortly after, Roman Achan scored at 16:06 to extend their lead to three after 40 minutes of play.

Late in the third, Roman Achan scored his second of the game on the empty net at 16:08 to make it 4-0 and secure the win for Cleveland.
