POSTGAME QUOTES
HEAD COACH GREG MOORE
On tonight’s game and Erik Källgren’s performance:
He gave us a chance to be in this game. From the start, we weren’t skating. We weren’t protecting our crease and our net front very well. They got inside us pretty easily. Even up ice, we weren’t above, we weren’t in the way. They’re a very skilled team. They’re really good in transition. We’re going to need a much better effort for tomorrow. As of late, we’ve been giving up too much. We’re inconsistent right now with our play and we need to make sure that tomorrow we have a better mindset for our expectations and standards going into the rest of the season.
BOBBY McMANN (1 GOAL)
On Erik Källgren:
He was everything for us at the start. They definitely came hot and we weren’t quite ready for it. He shut the door for a long time and gave us a chance for awhile. It’s too bad we couldn’t help him out.
On tonight’s game:
We had a couple of shifts strung together (in the final 20 minutes) where we got pucks in. Just played a simple game and that’s what it takes after a break like that, it’s just playing simple hockey, moving pucks forward and we found success. We had a chance to close out the game but just weren’t able to do it.
