MARLIES SIGN FORWARD LANDON SIM TO ONE-YEAR AHL CONTRACT

The Toronto Marlies announced today that the hockey club has signed forward Landon Sim to a one-year AHL contract beginning in the 2025-26 season.

Sim, 20, posted 53 points (30 goals,23 assists), 105 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +29 in 54 regular season games with the London Knights (OHL) during the 2024-25 season. Sim has helped the Knights reach the 2025 OHL Championship where they are scheduled to compete against the Oshawa Generals. He has recorded 11 points (9 goals, 2 assists) and 23 penalty minutes in 12 games during the 2025 OHL Playoffs. The New Glasgow, Nova Scotia native has skated in 213 career regular season OHL games with London posting 124 points (66 goals, 58 assists). The 5’11, 185 pound forward has also added 27 points (13 goals, 14 assists) in 53 career OHL playoff appearances. Sim won the 2024 OHL Championship with the Knights.

MARLIES TO FACE CLEVELAND MONSTERS IN FIRST ROUND

The Toronto Marlies are set to face the Cleveland Monsters in the First Round of the 2025 Calder Cup Playoffs. Toronto’s 14^th postseason begins on the road on Thursday, April 24at 7:00 p.m. at Rocket Arena in the opening best-of-three series.

MARLIES CLINCH SPOT IN 2025 CALDER CUP PLAYOFFS

The Toronto Marlies secured their spot in the American Hockey League Calder Cup Playoffs following the club’s 3-0 win over the Rochester Americans. Toronto heads to the postseason for the 14^th time in franchise history and will face the Cleveland Monsters in Round 1.

ALEX STEEVES NAMED TO THE 2024-25 AHL SECOND ALL-STAR TEAM

The American Hockey League announced today that Toronto Marlies forward Alex Steeves was named to the2024-25 Second AHL All-Star Team. He is the 12^th Marlies player to be recognized on the year-end All-Star Team.

Steeves, 25, has recorded 61 points (36 goals, 25 assists) in 58 games this season. He is second overall in the AHL in goals scored and tied for the lead in game-winning goals (8).Through four seasons with the Marlies, the Eden Prairie, Minnesota native has 105 goals and 110 assists in 246 games and holds the all-time points and goals records. He also tied the single season record for goals scored (36) with the game-winning goal on Apr. 13. He was selected to represent Toronto at the 2025 AHL All-Star Classic. Steeves has appeared in 14 career games with the Toronto Maple Leafs, recording one goal and two assists. He originally signed with Toronto as a free agent on March 28, 2021.

All-Star team members are voted on by coaches, players and media in each of the league’s 32 cities.
