Toronto Marlies Sign Forward Joseph Blandisi

The Toronto Marlies announced today that the hockey club has signed forward Joseph Blandisi to an AHL contract for the remainder of the 2021-22 season. He previously was signed to a professional tryout agreement.

Blandisi, 27, has recorded 17 points (7 goals, 10 assists) through 20 games with the Marlies. He has appeared in 101 career NHL games, registering 31 points (10 goals, 21 assists) and collected 176 points (66 goals, 110 assists) in 236 career AHL games. The Markham, Ontario native was drafted 162nd overall in the sixth round of the 2012 NHL Draft by the Colorado Avalanche.

The Toronto Marlies are the primary development program for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Since 2005, 135 players have appeared in regular season games at both the NHL and AHL levels. The current Maple Leafs roster features 12 players who have dressed for both the Maple Leafs and Marlies – Kyle Clifford, Travis Dermott, Pierre Engvall, Justin Holl, Mac Hollowell, Timothy Liljegren, Petr Mrázek, Jake Muzzin, William Nylander, Morgan Rielly, Nick Robertson and Rasmus Sandin
