The Marlies announced Friday that the team has re-signed winger Rich Clune for the 2017-18 season.
Clune, 30, enters his third season with the Marlies. In his two seasons with the club, the Toronto native has served as an alternate captain, registering 34 points (11 goals, 23 assists) and 233 penalty minutes in 86 regular season games. Clune has also skated in 19 regular season games with the Maple Leafs and 20 playoff games for the AHL club, collecting five points (2 goals, 3 assists) and 48 penalty minutes.
Drafted 71st overall in the third round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars, Clune brings over 500 games of experience between the NHL and AHL level.
Clune was named the Marlies 2016-17 IOA/American Specialty AHL Man of the Year for his outstanding contribution to the Toronto Community.
