Leafs Assign Leivo to Marlies on Conditioning Loan

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the team has assigned forward Josh Leivo to the Toronto Marlies (AHL) on a long-term injury conditioning loan.

Last season, Leivo scored five goals in 12 games with the Maple Leafs and collected 48 points (17 goals, 31 assists) in 51 regular season games with the Marlies. The 23-year-old also led all Marlies forwards with 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in 15 playoff games.

The Maple Leafs host the Edmonton Oilers tonight at 7:30 while the Marlies return to action on Saturday, November 5 when they travel to St. John’s to face the IceCaps.
