Andreas Johnsson Named to the 2018 AHL All-Star Classic

The American Hockey League announced today that Andreas Johnsson has been named to the playing roster for the 2018 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Turning Stone Resort Casino, taking place January 28-29 in Utica, NY. Johnsson will represent the North Division All-Star team, replacing Kasperi Kapanen.
Johnsson, 23, has played in 38 games with the Marlies this season, recording 29 points (17 goals, 12 assists). The Marlies are 20-2-0-0 when Johnsson scores a point. In his second AHL season, Johnsson has played in 113 games, recording 76 points (37 goals, 39 assists).

At the 2018 AHL All-Star Classic, the Toronto Marlies will also be represented by defenceman Justin Holl, Sheldon Keefe as head coach of the North Division and Scott Pellerin, Director of Player Development with the Toronto Maple Leafs, who was selected as an Honourary Captain.

The Toronto Marlies are the primary development program for the Toronto Maple Leafs. The current Toronto Maple Leafs roster features 12 players who were developed by the Marlies (Tyler Bozak, Connor Brown, Connor Carrick, Travis Dermott, Jake Gardiner, Zach Hyman, Nazem Kadri, Leo Komarov, Josh Leivo, William Nylander, Morgan Rielly and Nikita Soshnikov).
