The Toronto Marlies announced today the hiring of Mike Dixon, Director of Hockey Operations and Alternate Governor in addition to Will Sibley as Hockey Operations, Analyst.
Mike Dixon joins the Maple Leafs organization with over 11 years of experience in the NHL. Having previously worked for the Florida Panthers, Mike has held a variety of positions with the Panthers and most recently served as the club’s Director of Hockey Operations. Mike holds an MBA in Sports Management from Florida Atlantic University.
Will Sibley arrives to the Marlies after previously serving as Video Coach and Statistical Analyst of the Kitchener Rangers (OHL). Prior to his work with Kitchener, Will completed his Master’s degree at the University of Windsor in Sport Management. Will has also worked in various coaching roles with local teams and has owned Control the Crease Goaltending for the past four years where he works with elite level netminders in the Waterloo region. Sibley takes over this role previously filled by Video Coach Justin Bourne who is departing the Marlies after two seasons and returning to journalism.
The Marlies would also like to wish former Director of Hockey Operations and Governor Brad Lynn and Media Relations Coordinator Colin McBride the greatest of luck in their new roles with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Lynn joins the Leafs as Director of Team Operations after spending seven years with the Marlies while McBride is being promoted to the Leafs’ media relations staff as Coordinator.
